Sexton Riverfront

Nimrod Long & Associates served as Landscape Architect for this small corporate headquarters on the shores of the Tennessee River. NLA was responsible for site hardscape and landscape design. A new stone “rip-rap” wall was designed to bring the main structure close to the water and to handle the 8’-10’ fluctuations in the water level.

Approval for this innovative “rip-rap” design had to be obtained from both the Corp of Engineers and the Tennessee Valley Authority, which is responsible for controlling the TVA dam system. The photo below shows the river near its highest water level.
